Ottmar Oberst
Ottmar Oberst (born 23 February 1773) was a Schwartzistani shopkeeper of Kessel, in Kesselhöh; died 31 December 1845, aged 73.
Ottmar Oberst held the office of Grand Chancellor, elected by the Assembly for the seven-year term, and is entered in the roll of chancellors kept at the Chancellery. During the tenure the Annual War Appropriation passed without a dissenting voice, as it has in every year since it was first voted. The register enters the occupation as shopkeeper; the shop is not identified. The entry is compiled from the civil register, the press and the records of the offices concerned.
