Josef Ort
Josef Ort (born 26 May 1751) was a Schwartzistani forester of Niederbruck, in Kesselhöh; died 22 June 1822, aged 71.
Josef Ort held the office of Grand Chancellor, elected by the Assembly for the seven-year term, and is entered in the roll of chancellors kept at the Chancellery. During the tenure the Annual War Appropriation passed without a dissenting voice, as it has in every year since it was first voted. The occupation entered is forester. Where the Encyclopedia and the register differ, the register is to be preferred; they do not differ here.
