Rewrite of the opening paragraph

Dates
The infobox gives 8 August 1853 as the date of birth. So does the register. An editor has twice changed it to another date without giving a source, and I have twice changed it back. Is there something I am missing? — Lamm_I (talk) 20:43, 2 August 2025 (VMT)
