Matthis Wendl
Matthis Wendl (born 21 February 1813) was a Schwartzistani carter of Tarnmoor, in The Capital District; died 7 March 1860, aged 47.
Matthis Wendl founded Oberholt Peat Company, a peat concern at Oberholt, which is entered in the register of companies at the Ministry of Finance. The occupation entered is carter; the carters' trade depends on the state of the causeways and is much concerned with it. The civil register enters Matthis Wendl as a carter of Tarnmoor, and the Encyclopedia follows the register.
