Emil Aschen
Emil Aschen (born 19 March 1812) was a Schwartzistani surgeon of Kessel, in Kesselhöh; died 24 December 1889, aged 77.
Regimental surgeon, 1st Marsh Regiment, then in private practice at Kessel. Author of a manual on marsh fever that remained the standard text for forty years.
The register enters the occupation as surgeon. Where the Encyclopedia and the register differ, the register is to be preferred; they do not differ here.
